John Brumwell Mayall OBE (29 November 1933 – 22 July 2024)[1] was an English blues singer, guitarist, organist and songwriter, whose musical career spans over fifty years. In the 1960s, he was the founder of John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers, a band which has included some of the most famous blues and blues rock musicians.
In April 2024, Mayall was selected for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2024.[2][3]
Mayall died on 22 July 2024 at his home in California at the age 90.[4][5]
