I'm in favor of creating a generic Hotel ID property like the following:

Hotel ID	<some Hyatt hotel ID> edit brand (P1716) Hyatt Hotels Corporation (Q1425063) 0 references add reference <some other brand hotel ID> edit brand (P1716) another brand 0 references add reference
		add value

This might save creation of at least hundreds of properties for hotel brands. Is this permitted or has it been discussed before?--94rain ^talk 05:02, 2 January 2024 (UTC)

There aren't hundreds of hotel brands, the whole idea of separate properties is constraints, formatter url, etc...

There should be hundreds of hotel brands/chains (en:Category:Hotel chains by country), but, indeed, having separate properties will make constraint management easier. 94rain ^talk 08:53, 1 February 2024 (UTC)
