works and editions

edit

Hello Pago95, I noticed that you merged The Prince and the Pauper (Q869725) with its different editions (like El príncipe y el mendigo (Q28335591)). The Prince and the Pauper (Q869725) is about the work called (in its original language) "The Prince and the Pauper". This work is present in different editions with different languages, different publication dates, by different editors or translators. Wikisource-pages always represent editions. As editions are considered different from the work, every Wikisource-page should get its own Wikidata-item. It's not consistent, yet (there are quite a few work-items with Wikisource-sitelinks), so this approach may not be obvious. You can find some more informations on this distinction and how Wikidata deals with it at WikiProject Books. Anyway, thank you for your contributions. - Valentina.Anitnelav (talk) 10:12, 8 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Instace to subclass

edit

Hello Pago95, I noticed that for two video games you have moved a instance of (P31)-statement to subclass of (P279), namely for Q10625312 and Q10625310. To be honest, I am not sure why you believe that these two items are subclasses rather than instances. Could you please explain it to me? --Nw520 (talk) 22:14, 30 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Pc games was label as none-of constraint, so I switched to video game and put pc games in subclass. Not sure if that's the best solution. Pago95 (talk) 23:11, 30 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
Ah, you are right, I didn't notice that pc game was indeed part of a constraint. I suppose that Q4485157 should not be used at all as it can be derived from platform (P400) and therefore removed it from both items. Thank you very much for your reply! --Nw520 (talk) 19:14, 31 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Conference of the Birds

edit

Poem "Conference of the Birds" from the 13th-century is not the same thing as one specific miniature (illustration to this poem) by artist from the 17th-century. These are two very different things. You destroy my (and others) work, and I don't know the easy way to restore it. And frankly, now I don't have too much time to find the way. So please, restore Q29385176 to the state before you vandalize it and made it completely misdirected redirect.--Nous (talk) 09:19, 28 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello! I'm sorry for the edit, I used the gadget "Merge" to easily merge two wikidata items together and I didn't know that the items where two different things. In the future, if you just want to restore to an older edit, just click on Revision history and click undo on the edit you think can restore it to the previous version. Alternatively, in Difference between revisions, you can more clearly see the differences the edits and just click restore to restore a previous version of the page. No problem, the most important thing is that now everything is okay. Mistakes happens to everybody. Thank you for your work and for your help. Really appreciated. Have a nice day:)--Nous (talk) 13:21, 28 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
