I started https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/c/mediawiki/core/+/337390 some time ago. So long ago, that probably it should start (almost) from 0.

The exercise was not in vain- several bugs were detected based on that. I mention this here because working again on that would help:

Linting, by Jenkins or a separate process common mistakes (column references another column of different type)- documentation helps avoiding code problems
Generate a tables.sql diagram automatically, without 100% manual intervention [in scope of this ticket]

I do not have currently time for this, but if someone can start there is many of us we can support him/her/them.
