Singapore Airlines is the national airline of Singapore. It carries people from Singapore to 5 continents in the world. It is a major airline in Southeast Asia as well as on the "Kangaroo Route" from Australia to the UK. The company was the first airline to buy the Airbus A380 "superjumbo". It used to fly the longest planned flight in the world, from Singapore to Newark .
Singapore Airlines was given "Airline of the Year" by Skytrax in 2008. Its base, Singapore Changi Airport, was given "Airport of the Year" in 2006.
