Eli Ruckenstein

Eli Ruckenstein (August 13, 1925 – September 30, 2020) was a Romanian-born American physical chemist. He was a Distinguished Professor, Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York. His main research areas were catalysis, surface phenomena, colloids and emulsions.

Ruckenstein became a member of the National Academy of Engineering in 1990 and was honored in 1998 of the National Medal of Science.

Ruckenstein died on September 30, 2020, at the age of 95.[1]
