Jeremiah Wilson "Jay" Nixon (born February 13, 1956) is an American politician. He was the Governor of Missouri from 2009 to 2017. He is a member of the Democratic Party of the United States.

Nixon's ancestor, John Inskeep, was mayor of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.[1]
