Iron Man 3, (stylized as IRON MAN THREE on movie) is a 2013 American superhero movie featuring the Marvel Comics character Iron Man, directed by Shane Black, produced by Kevin Feige of Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

Synopsis

After the events of The Avengers, Tony suffers from post traumatic stress disorder after the Battle of New York as he realized that there are bigger threats out there and he must protect Pepper, people and everyone he loves from being killed. However, he resists the trauma when the leader of the Ten Rings, the Mandarin, tries to kill him. Now stranded without any of his technology Stark must find a way to come back home and stop the Mandarin from destroying America.

It was released on May 3, 2013. Despite receiving mixed reviews from film critics, the film was positively welcomed from audience despite some criticizing for its twist. The movie is the highest grossed movie of 2013.

Possible sequel and spin-off

On 2014, Shane Blake and Robert Downey Jr. said they would like to do a fourth film. Despite rumors, it is unknown if the film will be made. However, a series for Disney+ based on Iron Heart is currently in development and could eventually serve as a sequel if the fourth film doesn't get made. The series will center on Tony Stark, momentarily became an holographical AI after saving his consciousness in a computer while phsycally dying, becomes the mentor of a teenager named Riri Williams and wants her to be his successor.
