Examples don't work?

[edit]

None of the two given examples work:

{{target | page = Wikiversidad:Claustro Wikiversitario | site = es.wikiversity.org}}

Messages can only be sent to local pages.

{{target | user=Nemo bis | site = it.wikiquote.org}}

Messages can only be sent to local pages.

The only thing that seems to work is a mass message to local users using:

{{#target:User talk:user_name}}

User talk:user_name

@Rillke: Can you explain your last two edits to the template? --McZusatz (talk) 19:23, 22 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
You should use {{#target: parser function for Special:MassMessage, and of course you can't send out messages to other wikis with this tool; this is only possible on Meta.
I guess I imported this template for use with User:Rillke/globalMessageDelivery.js and to be able to use copies of the lists from Meta (warning: this script has serious flaws) which allowed me to send out localized messages. -- Rillke(q?) 20:43, 22 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
