You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Categories Roman Legions

Good Morning: It doesn't seem bad to me, but the drawback is that the images do not appear directly in the category of each legion and there are many links, so that the category becomes a kind of root category. Hello scutum, you are absolutely right about the drawbacks. Unfortunately, I don't have a solution to these disadvantages at the moment. I started grouping and structuring the categories of latin inscriptions (if they are related to roman legions), because it seemed to me quite an unorganized mess. Eine neue alte Inschrift

Wo wir schon dabei sind – hast du dir bereits die Kategorie Ancient Roman inscriptions in Musée archéologique de Strasbourg vollständig angeschaut? Einige Inschriften wurden noch keinem Korpus zugeordnet, z. B. File:Stèle de couple-Dachstein-Musée archéologique de Strasbourg.jpg, oder File:Stèle de Loconius et Crobius-Musée archéologique de Strasbourg.jpg. Hallo Edelseider, 1) File:Stèle de Loconius et Crobius-Musée archéologique de Strasbourg.jpg habe ich bei der EDCS (https://db.edcs.eu/epigr/epi.php?s_sprache=de) gefunden. Allerdings sind die zur Inschrift angegebenen Publikationen: ILTG 00432 = Ness-Lieb 00109 = Grabstelen 00182 = CAG-67-01, p 238 als Kategorien bei https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Ancient_Roman_inscriptions_by_publication nicht vorhanden. 2) Dasselbe gilt für File:Stèle de couple-Dachstein-Musée archéologique de Strasbourg.jpg,hier sind es die Publikationen: ILTG 00433 = Grabstelen 00181 = CAG-67-01, p 238. In dem Fall kann man nix machen, außer man legt jetzt eine neue Kategorie für die Publikation ILTG (was immer das ist) oder eine der anderen Publikationen an, wozu ich aber keine Lust habe. :-) MfG --Agentjoerg (talk) 14:03, 6 October 2022 (UTC)

How to ask for speedy-delete of an empty category

When you want to ask for speedy-delete of an empty category, best practice is to mark it with {{SD|C2}} if it would be OK to re-create it in the future, given that appropriate content becomes available or {{SD|C1}} if it is an inappropriate category name that should not be reused. In particular, this is better practice than just blanking the category page. ("C1" and "C2" come from Commons:Criteria for speedy deletion).
