The municipalities of Kujalleq, Sermersooq, Qeqqata, and Qeqertalik are all contained in the Kalaallit Arctic Steppe Ecoregion. Avannaata and Northeast Greenland National Park are also included in this ecoregion, but the northernmost parts of these administrative divisions pertain to the Kalaallit Nunaat High Arctic Tundra Ecoregion.
