FOP applies only to the PRoC, not the ROC (a.k.a Taiwan). Magog the Ogre (talk) 02:02, 8 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That's good to know. I guess it should be deleted on Commons and reduced/given rationale on the English Wikipedia, then. The following files on Commons would then be eligible for deletion as well:

Comment -perhaps we should ascertain who the authors are, as they may be free depending on the time of their author's death per {{PD-China}}. Magog the Ogre (talk) 02:52, 8 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Comment Look, the images in question are pictures of statues that were going to be thrown away, melted, or otherwise desecrated by the people of Taiwan. Most statues were destroyed. The surviving ones ended up in this park. These statues were commissioned in all cases by the government using public funds to commemorate a leader the majority of people in Taiwan no longer care about. I don't think there will ever be a copyright problem concerning these statues. But whatever. Fred Hsu (talk) 04:50, 8 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Waste no time - move to Flickr. It's not the first time when already lost or decaying heritage was deleted on commons. NVO (talk) 05:24, 8 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted: But the 4 files mentioned by Gryrobo were kept as COM:DM. Not likely {{PD-China}} because the mausoleom was constructed in 1975. Ben.MQ (talk) 23:09, 16 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
