License claims "This work has been released into the public domain by its author, The Flag Institute." while it says nothing about the flag being public domain at the source. Additionally, the webpage at the source claims "© 2013 The Flag Institute. All Rights Reserved." Lewis Hulbert (talk) 12:19, 30 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Kept: Yes, the licensing tagg is incorrect. However this desing is a couple of hundred years old and is out of copyright which maes the flag pd. The source version doesn't contain enough creative elements to make it eligible for copyright imo. And yes, this appears to be the original desing. Natuur12 (talk) 09:24, 9 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
