Keep Having the word "comic" in the title does not make it a derivative of a copyrighted work, to any level past de minimis. Andy Dingley (talk) 11:27, 5 August 2021 (UTC)
- I am well aware of De minimis, but I don't think it is the case here. There are multiple copyrighted works depicted in this photo, the largest one located in the core part. --Mhhossein talk 07:46, 8 August 2021 (UTC)
- There are two "works" visible: the character and the large banner behind the desk. The character is de minimis, it is almost unrecognisable, clearly used repeatedly throughout the event, and is certainly not the focus of anything. The event banner is prominent, but is no more than simple functional text, thus not protected as a creative work. Andy Dingley (talk) 14:08, 8 August 2021 (UTC)

- @Mhhossein: The Chinese logograms are no problem by themselves; they are definitely in the PD. The legs below the orange logogram are not in the PD, but are negligible (de minimis), I think, because a typical user will miss them, as I did. 4nn1l2 (talk) 08:11, 8 September 2021 (UTC)
