No evidence that site-owner had the copyright. Pieter Kuiper (talk) 13:22, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

That was about some photos of a brick; obviously, none of these photos were made by Jeff Jacobson. /Pieter Kuiper (talk) 13:31, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Pieter Kuiper (talk · contribs) could have contacted me on my user talk page about this to discuss it further, and if I could not have resolved it myself through contact with the source of the images, I would have self-deleted. Then, when Pieter Kuiper (talk · contribs) was notified that I was in contact with the website manager, he could have waited to hear an update on this, before starting a deletion discussion. Instead, Pieter Kuiper (talk · contribs) ignored this. -- Cirt (talk) 13:34, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The source site is teeming with material that the site owner cannot put a free license on. /Pieter Kuiper (talk) 14:21, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I am in communication with the website manager over this exact issue. Instead of acknowledging this, Pieter Kuiper (talk · contribs) ignored this notification, and did not even wait for me to get a response back from the source of the images. This could have been easily resolved, without the need for an 8th deletion request. -- Cirt (talk) 14:25, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Keep Suitable and good images. As long as we don't have better portrait photos of her, I'd suggest to keep them. Gitano 14:38, 5 April 2010 (UTC)
  •  Keep -- I am in contact with the copyright holder. The family's wishes were for the photos to be available in free-use format, and were provided to the source website they were originally uploaded from as such. They can be attributed to Lisa McPherson estate or Lisa McPherson family, and licensed under Creative Commons Attribution Sharealike. This is now COM:OTRS pending. -- Cirt (talk) 17:18, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Who are the photographers? Did they give permission? /Pieter Kuiper (talk) 08:53, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Comment - Update: Confirmed as free-use status, per COM:OTRS. See [1]. Thanks. -- Cirt (talk) 17:23, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Comment The ticket is hard to read. The "I would assume they could be classified as public domain. But I do not own them." part worries me but if Zscout370 thinks the later messages clear out the doubt then I think it should be ok. Since it is hard to find out who took the photos it is also hard to make "Author" more clear. So unless anyone objects I suggest we close this DR. --MGA73 (talk) 18:01, 18 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I agree the DR should be closed now as " Keep". The copyright holder of the images has confirmed releasing them under a free-use license. -- Cirt (talk) 18:03, 18 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I see no evidence for permission by the author, which means that the images must be deleted. /Pieter Kuiper (talk) 18:13, 18 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The copyright holder of the image is what is needed in order to confirm free-use status. The copyright holder of the images has released them via free-use license. -- Cirt (talk) 18:31, 18 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Who is giving permission then? By what authority? /Pieter Kuiper (talk) 18:48, 18 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. :) -- Cirt (talk) 18:44, 18 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Kept. NW (Talk) 18:50, 18 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
