This book was still copyrighted in the country of origin (either Germany or Austria) on the URAA restoration date of 1/1/1996. Therefore, although it has passed into public domain in the country of origin, it remains copyrighted in the US until 1/1/2024 (95 years from the 1928 publication). Files on Commons must be free in both the country of origin and in the United States. (Several files are scans of blank pages, which are not copyrightable, but are also of no value once the rest is gone.)

Keep As you can see, the first publication in USA was in 1921: http://books.google.de/books?id=9E8ULgEACAAJ --Joergens.mi (talk) 19:53, 8 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Can that be verified? If it were really 1921 and PD, I would think that Google would have the full scan online. Instead they have no content for the supposed 1921 edition, and snippet-view for the 1928 edition. I note that this edition claims a 1928 copyright (on File:De Die Unüberwindlichen (Kraus) 004.jpg). Further, the Wikipedia article in English also lists 1928, while the article in German lists 1927, but notes that Austrian Literature Online lists 1928. (The French article only mentions the work in a footnote, referring to 1929 performances in Berlin and Dresden.) Thanks, cmadler (talk) 20:21, 8 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Original Publishing Date is 1928. [1], First dition in German National Biblithek [2], First Edition in Austrian National Bibliothek [3] (with link to full text). On Page 2 [4]: created 1927-12 - 1928-02, published 1928-05 --Fg68at de:Disk 22:36, 10 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Keep keep and move the servers from the stupid US to a country that respects international copyright. --AndreasPraefcke (talk) 00:06, 11 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I wish...but unfortunately it has to happen the other way: first have a server in a country where this is PD, then upload. For example, this could probably reside at Wikilivres.ca, which is based in Canada, where they sensibly apply the rule of the shorter term. cmadler (talk) 02:09, 11 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted: Unclear copyright status. Unless we have clear, explicit written/textual, tangible evidence indicating that these files are indeed freely licensed under a Commons compatible license, we cannot host them on Commons FASTILYs (TALK) 20:21, 12 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

@Joergens.mi: Now that it's 2024, is there any way you can upload a PDF or DJVU version of this book so that we don't have to individually undelete all 158 pages of this work? holly {chat} 21:47, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Restored: All individual files have been restored and the license templates have been updated as the US copyright expired on 1 January 2024 (this was already in the public domain in its source country per pma70). The Restore-a-lot and VisualFileChange tools are very helpful in such cases. --AFBorchert (talk) 23:46, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
