Welcome to the Behar Herald GLAM project!
Introduction
Behar Herald is the oldest English weekly newspaper of the Indian state of Bihar published from Patna, which started its journey in 1874. In 1938, the ownership of the newspaper was transferred to the Bengalee Association, Bihar, a non-profit society then created to protect the rights and preserve the language and culture of the Bengali speaking population residing in Bihar. This organization took responsibility to publish the weekly again since then. Contributions occur in several projects like Wikimedia Commons, Wikidata and Wikisource. All are welcome to get to know and contribute to the dissemination of contents!

This GLAM is associated with a partnership between West Bengal Wikimedians User Group and Bengalee Association, Bihar.
