Well here's some retro-90s fun in the form of a football march, dedicated to the football team of the University of California at Berkeley, written by a freshman by the name of Elsie Thompson who mentions she is "Class of 1900, U.C." Since this was published in 1896, she was due to graduate in four years in 1900. Published by the Zeno Mauvais Music Company of San Francisco and features a photo of the UC football team on the cover. Score #156 in my current ongoing series "Women Ragtime Composers" featuring interesting scores written by ragtime era women. Still more to come, stay tuned.
