中文：此《溪山雪意圖》卷傳為南宋劉松年仿北宋高克明的山水畫作。畫卷描繪雪後溪水兩岸的平坡低岡、橋屋村舍、喬松岩壑、泉流舟楫等景物。畫面中央為一片溪水，近岸為樹木房屋， 遠方則遙山對峙，稍近又繪有樹木房屋道路，岡坡上一人沖寒擔物而行。此卷現藏於大都會藝術博物館（The Metropolitan Museum of Art）。

該卷映入眼簾的首先是白雪皚皚的江山銀裝，一派靜謐幽寂的氣氛。層巒、平坡、蒼松、屋舍、溪水、舟楫……組成樸實平和的凝寒景象。五代、北宋山水側重崇山峻嶺的 「全景式」、「中軸線」 佈局，造型佈置重密茂。到南宋時則趨向近景突兀，馬遠、夏圭更出現了省略中景，截取畫面 「一角」、「半邊」 式的佈局，用筆也漸變為方折、犀利、粗略的橫闊斫拂類型。此圖當屬北宋末南宋初這一時期的作品，它雖和劉松年作品 (如現藏故宮博物院的《四景山水圖》中冬景一段) 近似，但細加比較，劉畫筆墨更為規正細勁，工整巧麗，而《溪山雪意圖》筆墨剛中寓柔，略見文靜溫潤，有大、小斧劈皴法筆意。此卷總體筆墨格局上屬近劉松年時代的風貌。

此圖為美國小約翰·M. 克勞福特 1984 年捐贈，作者一直依右上角 「高克明」 三字為據，後來改傳為 「南宋四大家」 之一的劉松年所作，也有人認為是劉根據高克明 1030 年在宮中的壁畫而仿作。現經國內學術界論定應為南宋初 (佚名) 的作品，又名《溪山霽雪圖》[1]。此圖卷清《石渠寶笈三編》有著錄。

畫首題 「高克明」 三字，卷末題：囗州牟氏書齋清玩。拖尾有吳寬跋。 高克明，生卒年不洋，宋化絳州（今山西新絳）人，主要活動時期在太宗，仁宗二朝，為當時著名的山水畫家。 高克明的山水畫創作，大多是從實地觀察獲得素材，複經自己深思熟慮、苦心經營中得來，並不專師於一家，卻能注意採擷諸家之美，參成一藝之精，自為體格，頗有創新的味道。

劉松年，南宋錢塘人，居暗門。 宋孝宗淳熙初畫院學生，宋光宗紹熙年間畫院待詔。師從張敦禮，工畫物、山水，筆墨精嚴、著色妍麗，多寫茂林修竹、山明水秀之景，所作屋宇界畫工整；兼畫人物神情生動、衣褶清勁。宋甯宗年間進 「耕織圖」 稱旨，賜金帶。 後人把他與李唐、馬遠、夏圭合稱為 「南宋四家」。
