Description

The townhouses of English Terrace Row, Nos. 20-38 West 10th Street, were designed by architect James Renwick, Jr., who also designed Grace Church and St Patrick's Cathedral. Nos. 20-36 were built in 1856, with No. 38 completed in 1858. They are sometimes referred to as "Renwick Row."

The doorway and window on the right belong to No. 34. They are joined in this shot by a window from No. 32 to the left. The entire row of 10 houses shares a unifying balcony just above the ground level shown here, and all use the same streetfront ironwork.
