Description

The results of a basic tip calculator worksheet with example sums and percentages shown in microMathematics Plus (μMath+) 2.17.4 on Android 4.1.2. The source of the tip calculator can be found here.

Notes:

  • Examples sums were used, because tax and tip amounts vary from region to region. The numbers somewhat follow the North American customs of ~10% tax (where applicable) and 15% tip. The tip is calculated both from the subtotal before tax, and the subtotal after tax (bill + tax).
  • Unlike in μMath+ 2.15.6 on Android 2.3, this version has a dedicated percentage function.
  • For the required result length, up to 3 or 4 numbers after the decimal point were set in app settings to be displayed for the result. (It's possible to set a greater amount of numbers after a decimal point.)
  • Finger pinch movements were used to zoom out in order to show the entirety of the equation and its result.
  • One of the non-default dark themes has been set.
  • μMath+ 2.17.4 (from F-Droid) is the last version that would run on LG Optimus L5. It's unknown if it's due to a limitation of the Android version (4.1.2), or device RAM memory (512 MB).
