Notes Chuckling Jerry's Micro-fun - A Laughter Tonic - Profusely Illustrated, 1946; printed by Wright and Jacques, Auckland Part of Jerrry Jaxon collection. Jerry Jaxon was a ventriloquist doll operated by George Tollerton (ventriloquist and magician) out of radio 1ZB Auckland from 1938 to 1946, and described as the best known personality on New Zealand radio at the time. He had own radio show, 'Chuckles with Jerry', twice weekly on ZB stations, and was also operated by G Tollerton on Variety show tours around New Zealand. Jerry was filmed at the National Film Unit Studio on the "Food for Britain" problem during the war. He had several outfits, and is currently wearing his Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) uniform.
