Deutsch: Innenansicht. Die Kirche am Hohenzollernplatz in Berlin-Wilmersdorf gehört und dient einer lutherischen Gemeinde der unierten Evangelischen Kirche Berlin-Brandenburg-Schlesische Oberlausitz. Sie wurde 1931 bis 1933 nach Plänen von Fritz Höger erbaut.
Das expressionistische Gebäude wurde von dem polnisch-jüdischen Architekten Ossip Klarwein entworfen und kurz nach der Machtergreifung der Nazis eingeweiht. Ab 1921 arbeitete er in dem Architekturbüro von Fritz Höger. Klarwein konnte 1934 mit seiner Familie nach Palästina fliehen. Während des Zweiten Weltkriegs brannte die Kirche vollständig aus. Die unter Denkmalschutz stehende Kirche wurde Anfang der 1990er Jahre vollständig restauriert. English: Interior. The Kirche am Hohenzollernplatz (lit. Church at Hohenzollernplatz square) in the Wilmersdorf, Berlin, Germany, serves a congregation within the Evangelical Church of Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Upper Lusatia, a united Protestant church body of Calvinist, Lutheran and united congregations.
The expressionist building was designed by Polish-Jewish architect Ossip Klarwein and inaugurated shortly after the Nazis seized power. From 1921 he worked in the architectural firm of Fritz Höger. Klarwein was able to flee to Palestine with his family in 1934. During the Second World War, the church burnt out completely. The heritage-listed church was fully restored in the early 1990s. This is a photograph of an architectural monument. It is on the list of cultural monuments of Berlin, no. Wilmersdorf. |
