Le texte indique : "En Reate, naquit un poulain ayant cinq pieds. A Anagnie, furent vus premièrement feus épars au ciel d’une part & d’autre, puis tot après une torche ardente, & comme toute en feu. En Oxine (région de Scytie, autrement Tartarie) naquit une fille ayant toutes ses dents . En plein jour, le ciel étant clair & serein, apparut en l’air un arc tendu sur le temple de Saturne au marché Romain, en lequel instant trois Soleils ensemble resplendirent." |

On remarque dans ce cadre les trois Soleils d'un parhélie. Sauf que dans un parhélie les trois Soleils sont à la même hauteur. Bien sûr, l'auteur de la gravure ne fait qu’interpréter le texte sans avoir été témoin oculaire de la plupart des prodiges relatés dans ce texte.
On doit voir ici "les feus épars au ciel" dont fait état le texte. Ces "feus épars" furent suivis très tôt par "une torche ardente et comme toute en feu" que l'on peut attribuer au phénomène de colonne lumineuse
