Français : L'hommage au jardinier Salah Rakrouki. Parmis les questions inscrites à l'ordre du jour du conseil municipal, ce Lundi salle Brassens, figurait l'adoption du règlement intérieur des jardins familiaux récemment aménages à l' île de thau. Une parcelle que travailleront bientôt assidûment ( à des fins non commerciales) une trentaine de particuliers et leurs familles , sans avoir peut - être qu'un homme seul, venu d'ailleurs, maniant pioche , bêche, "rabassier" fut le premier a rendre cette terre fertile. Par le choix de la dénomination des lieux (et le panonceau qui, on l'imagine, l'indiquera), la ville leur livrera en tout cas un nom. Auquel les anciens du quartier associeront facilement un souvenir : celui de Salah Rakrouki.
Celui-ci, né en 1936 en Algérie, Sétois dès 1963, travailla ce jardin (qu'il louait moyennant quelques paniers de légumes) pendant plus de 40 ans, élevant également poules et lapins et réunissant occasionnellement sa grande famille dans son petit Eden. Il le travailla jusqu'à ce jour de Mai 2014 ou, rentrant du jardin, il se fit renverser sur un passage piéton. Et décéda peu après. Ce jardin était connu sous le nom de jardin Rakrouki. Il continuera donc, à l'être cette dénomination ayant été entérinée lundi par les élus. Et tous ceux, qui le cultiveront reproduiront les gestes des milliers de fois répètes par Salah, le défricheur, passé ainsi à la postérité. Un bel hommage au jardinier. Midi Libre Le Vendredi 7 Avril 2017 à 17h30 (Boulevard Mendès France / rue des rouges - gorges) le Sénateur - maire de Sète François Commeinhes rendait hommage avec les élus Sétois et inaugurèrent les "jardins partagés Rakrouki" en présence de la famille de Rakrouki Salah. Nous remercions François commeinhes, les Sètoises et Sètois un grand merci. |
