Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Surviving tree. Most moorland is not natural, this land should be forested. However the large numbers of deer make it impossible for trees to grow, they just get eaten. This large boulder provides a sanctuary for a rowan, spread by bird droppings a seed lodged in a crack at the top of the boulder with just enough soil to get going. The sunlit hill is Buachaille Etive Beag (Stob Rainaich top) across Glencoe.
