Nome Científico: Amazona aestiva. Nome Inglês: Blue-fronted Parrot. Ave conhecida como o melhor dos "faladores" entre os Psitacídeos. Infelizmente, a realidade evidencia que, ao longo dos tempos, os papagaios vem sendo capturados clandestinamente e transportados para serem vendidos ilegalmente. De acordo com o estado de conservação, a União Internacional para a conservação da natureza classifica essa espécie como pouco preocupante (risco de extinção), todavia, o desmatamento desenfreado preocupa, à médio prazo, pois os locais preferidos para essas aves nidificarem, bem como suas fontes de alimentação, são devastados gradativamente!
