Public domain According to the Romanian Law on Copyright and Neighboring Rights Law no. 8/1996 of March 14, 1996 with further amendments Chapter 3 Article 9 the following documents shall not benefit from the legal protection accorded to copyright:

Română: Descrierea stemei:

Potrivit anexei nr. 1, stema comunei Istria se compune dintr-un scut triunghiular albastru cu marginile rotunjite, tăiat în şef de un zid de cetate crenelat, de argint.

Partea inferioară, tăiată în bandă de argint, are, în partea dreaptă, un delfin de argint, înotând spre dreapta, iar în partea stângă, un clopot cu cruce de aur.

Scutul este timbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu un turn crenelat.

Semnificaţiile elementelor însumate

Zidul crenelat reprezintă cetatea Histria.

Clopotul cu cruce simbolizează biserica ortodoxă "Sf. Treime - Sf. Nicolae" din localitate, monument istoric.

Delfinul este simbol din efigia cetăţii Histria.

Coroana murală cu un turn crenelat semnifică faptul că localitatea are rangul de comună.
