I have reverted to the earlier version because the colours are discussed in numerous article captions, which would all have to be changed. Plus, Egyptian is not extinct since it is spoken in the form of Coptic, albeit as a revived and liturgical language. Anyway, the map should as inclusive as possible and it is used on articles related to the Egyptian language. Paul Barlow (talk) 18:47, 6 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I only changed blue to green since it looks more like a lake, Any way were was that discussed. By the way w:Egyptians languages has gone extinct since the 17th century. the new version include Maltese and Syriac which were both ascent in the old one. --Rafy (talk) 19:08, 6 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I am well aware of the history of Egyptian. As I said, it is spoken as a "revived and liturgical" language. I assume by "ascent" you mean "absent". If you are going to change a map, you should also change the captions in the articles in which the map is used. Not to do so is disruptive. Paul Barlow (talk) 16:05, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry for the typo. There is no mention of Egyptian in any caption in English wikipedia. Chadic was mentioned in the dutch wikipedia and I corrected it.--Rafy (talk) 17:34, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
