Hi Sokuya, it is the areas controlled by rebels who have agreed to surrender to the government, but which the SAA have not yet entered. If you see purple areas on the map, it often means that the rebels there are in the process of handing over their weapons or negotiating over which fighters will be bused to Idlib, rather than joining the SAA.
