Hi Osman, Please take a moment and advise me about this image at Commons:Deletion requests/Image:ArmyCommand.jpg. 10xx Ori
Not amused either
I noticed you've tagged several images and I thought I should turn your attention to some issues. 1. When you tag images, please announce the up-loader about all of them. I had a feeling you have tagged more than you have announced on my talk page and sure enough, you did. 2. Many of the tagged images were paintings that are in the PD because the creator of the paintings has died more than 70 years ago. With or without the source specified they are in the PD unless you will discover a painting having a different creator whose work is not PD or if the work of the specified creator is not in the PD. 3. Another issue to consider is that providing a web link as the source of a painting is not going to help too much. For example, web pages are volatile sources therefore with or without the source specified a painting is still in the PD. 4. Some information about paintings may not be available or is unknown to the person who uploads a painting. This is not a good reason to tag for deletion all the paintings. So, please give some thought to tagging and stop tagging for deletion paintings for reasons such as: source, description, date. Thanks, Mvelam 01:44, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

Thanks you. I added tag according to your adviceTokyo Watcher 08:08, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
Hi OsamaK, I added the source for the image Image:Olivier van Noort.png. I hope you are satisfied. Sorry to sound so sarcastic, but you are not the first one who harassed about an ancient image. This is a PD-image because of age! There is no need to add a source to check on this.
Anyway, I doubt that anyone will ever find the book to check this, because it is an old book, and even if someone will find it, they will only find the picture and still not find the original source, so they will still not be able to check the permission, anyway. But it is PD! Because of age!!!! Please change the Commons procedures about images like this, or I will stop using the infobox, so you will not be able to find sourceless images this easy anymore! I am sorry about the tone of this message. Jan Arkesteijn 20:48, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
English
You seem to speak English fairly well. It should be at least a level 2 on your userpage. Patstuart 16:53, 16 October 2007 (UTC)
Unsourced target: Category:Photographs by Agencia Brasil
All media in this category should contain a web link to the source. Can you make a list of all images without a weblink in Category:Photographs by Agencia Brasil? Cheers! Siebrand 23:44, 16 October 2007 (UTC)
Image Tagging Image:Carl_Larsson_selfpotrait.png
Thanks for uploading Image:Carl_Larsson_selfpotrait.png. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page. If the content is a derivative of a copyrighted work, you need to supply the names and a licence of the original authors as well.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag, then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{self|cc-by-sa-3.0}} to release it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license or {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find all your uploads using the Gallery tool. Thank you. - Uh huh, you might want to tell the uploader about that. --Tene 10:08, 17 October 2007 (UTC)
