Lake monster not mentioned ...

edit

The legendary Ogopogo is a part of Kelowna's culture and should be mentioned --> http://www.bbc.com/travel/story/20200309-ogopogo-the-monster-lurking-in-okanagan-lake 50.111.51.247 (talk) 13:24, 28 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Ogopogo allegedly lives in Lake Okanagan and not in the City of Kelowna. Hwy43 (talk) 18:15, 28 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

More recent photo of rapidly changing Kelowna skyline

edit

Hi all. I took this picture of the downtown core in Feb. 2021 and upload it, but I'm not sure how to best incorporate it into the info panel. I can post the file here, and anyone is welcome to include it by making the required edits if they feel it benefits the article.

Culture

edit

Is there really nothing more to say about the culture of the city than to list a bunch of sports teams and a few annual events? There seems to be surprisingly little for a relatively large (and relatively isolated) place. - Jmabel | Talk 01:03, 15 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Not actually named for a grizzly

edit

If this page is correct, Kelowna wasn't actually named for a grizzly bear—which aren't native to the area—but for a priest who reminded people of a grizzly. I haven't presumed to add those details, but anyone who thinks they're significant enough is welcome to do so. – AndyFielding (talk) 23:23, 7 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
