Overwatch

edit

This is the only source I can find that lists her as the voice of Ana in Overwatch; IMDb, the Overwatch Wiki, Behind the Voice Actors, etc. lists the voice actress of Ana as Aysha Selim. --74.254.205.122 (talk) 07:33, 29 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Written works

edit

Can there be a section for her written works? As of this post, she's only published the one book, but she has said in interviews that she is actively working on a more acting-focused book. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2620:72:0:1125:9598:B496:D7D6:DF5D (talk) 21:14, 10 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

I removed the word muslim from the intro because her religion is not supposed to be in that section. There is also no proof that she is a practicing muslim. She may have been born into a muslim family but as far as I know she is not following the "guidelines" of the religion. Simply stating that she is Iranian-American is sufficient.

What is a 'secular Muslim family'? Ashmoo 06:13, 3 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Audio file of name

edit

It would be great to have an audio file of Ms. Aghdashloo's name. (similar to the entry on Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje.) --24.249.108.133 22:03, 19 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Dinaaraz.jpg

edit

Image:Dinaaraz.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

...self proclaimed activist

edit

I removed 'self proclaimed activist' from the intro because: 1. There is no cite 2. It doesn't say what she is an activist FOR 3. No-where else in the article is her activism mentioned. Ashmoo (talk) 13:45, 21 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

her speech at winning the Emmy

edit

Should this be cited? The incidents referred are in Persecution of Bahá'ís. The youtube video post is at Shohreh Aghdashloo on Baha'i Human Rights in Iran. Smkolins (talk) 03:37, 24 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

There should be numerous articles about this video here, so use one of these articles to source the new section. But how does this relate to her Emmy speech? Lhw1 (talk) 04:38, 24 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
Sorry - I misread the original info on the youtube site. I didn't see the Emmys so I thought with a mention in the info section and her comment about not being there to receive the award it was a speech for the Emmys. But in terms of where to cite it - does it not relate to her taking a stance as an activists? Smkolins (talk) 05:46, 24 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
Yes of course it does. But on wikipedia we need to cite things. Feel free to start a section about it, just make sure you source it to a reliable source. Lhw1 (talk) 06:19, 24 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

This article is very deficient and I would say ill-prepared for WP:GAN. Please review WP:WIAGA. I am quickFAILing this but here are some comments:

  1. A GA level article for an actor includes critical commentary on most notable roles. I see no critical commentary on any of the roles. Not even the Emmy-winning or Oscar-nominated ones.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 19:47, 30 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
  2. Every fact is suppose to be cited by a WP:IC from a WP:RS in order that the article pass WP:V. Not only are the majority of facts uncited, but some facts are cited by unreliable sources such as IMDb and nearly half of the paragraphs have no inline citations.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 19:47, 30 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
For these two reasons, the article needs significant overhaul before it is ready for WP:GAN. I would also merge or expand all stubby paragraphs.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 19:47, 30 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

The Promise

edit

This film covers the Turkish regime and how it ultimately failed to obliterate the Armenian people and take over its government. It is a beautiful and sadly, tragic story involving four friends, one being a Turkish civilian, and how they fought against an almost impossible and cruel Turkish army as they murdered families unmercifully. I wanted to add that I loved the role Ms. Shoreh Aghabadoo portrayed as the wife and mother of the main character, her son, Michaeal. I am such a fan of hers and will remain so as I follow her in her acting career. 70.160.187.190 (talk) 16:31, 22 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
