Encylopedia Abuse

edit

Pointing out in an Encylopedia-level article that "Many of his films also contain instances of animal abuse" should probably be classified as Encyclopedia abuse. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.68.112.16 (talk) 19:22, 8 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

WTF? One of the best-known? Fellini, anotinoni, bertolucci and others are far, far more famous. Not to mention bad grammar. Please, guys, rewrite this crap. --24.203.221.17 (talk) 00:32, 26 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Did he die?

I heard he did. 84.229.221.166 (talk) 14:57, 22 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Japanese release

edit

I'm not familiar with Brass' films, but doing work on the filmography of the Japanese Pink film studio Xces, I see a release of one of his films titled "桃色画報" / ("Pink Image"). (I assume it's a Japanese release of an Italian film, and that the Japanese title may bear no relationship to the original title.) The star of the film is given as "サラ・コズミ" (Sara Gozumi?) HERE is the poster. If anyone can identify the film, I would appreciate it! Dekkappai (talk) 13:06, 21 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

The reference link : http://www.tintobrass.net/ seems to be inappropriate for this article. The site is place where his movies can be watched. I suggest to take out this link from the reference. This link seems to be an illegal site to watch movies. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jisjames007 (talkcontribs) 00:11, 28 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Porcupine Tree

edit

Perhaps in this article, there should be recognition that a song was named for him on Porcupine Tree's album Stupid Dream. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Immablowup (talkcontribs) 21:08, 27 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

"See also" Section OK - or Not?

edit

FWIW - seems that the "See also" section is not ok with one editor - however, others may disagree - After all, according to "WP:OWN", "All Wikipedia content ... is edited collaboratively" - Further, according to "WP:ALSO" => "The links in the "See also" section might be only indirectly related to the topic of the article because one purpose of "See also" links is to enable readers to explore tangentially related topics." - Nonetheless, the following listing was deleted, without discussion, by "User:Hullaballoo Wolfowitz":

Copied from the January 18, 2015 version of "Tinto Brass#See also":

See also

The following listing includes directors also known for adult erotic films:

Apparently, the section was deleted because it was "contrary to practice, blp issues" - this seems to be a misuse - or misunderstanding - of the notion of "WP:BLP" re the article - there's been detailed discussions earlier about this (see listing below) - however, afaik atm there doesn't seem to be anything substantial in the "WP:MOS" (or related) to support the edit deletion - at least, I haven't found anything so far.

If interested, related detailed discussions can be found at several links, including the following:

In any case - Is the edit deletion *entirely* OK - or Not? - Comments Welcome - Enjoy! :) Drbogdan (talk) 01:23, 16 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

I would think that [[Category:Pornographic film directors]] does a better job, or could/should do, than manually listing other directors on each director's BLP. Therefore OK by me. Batternut (talk) 21:06, 3 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
