Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. Hello,
Thank you for your email.
My grand father was a fundamental part of Haryana history from his days as secretary of the party with Sir Chotu Ram and his association with successive Chief Ministers and also Charan Singh. He was also imprisoned in the state of emergency in 1977 and was part of the freedom movement. There is not enough representation of his achievements and contributions on Wikipedia except on Jatland Wiki which shows photos and some explanation. This is crucial to the history of India and you may even find his name in Haryana textbooks.
Please advise on what can be done to put more accurate information and a separate page for him, so his contributions do not go wasted and remain historically recorded.
Awaiting your kind reply,
Dr. Surah Dsurah (talk) 17:36, 11 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for responding, while I can't advise you personally, there are links on how Wikipedia's policies function, such as here: HELP:POLICY. I can also point you to the Teahouse WP:TEA, which is dedicated to answering questions.
The main thing I had issue with, was how a lot of your edits seemed to be tangential to their actual subjects. (Talking about the biographical articles), that's what I linked WP:COATRACK for.
The other, being that all content additions on Wikipedia must be verifiable from reliable sources. (See WP:VERIFY and WP:RELIABLE) We do not write history on Wikipedia, rather we summarize existing sources.
Sorry if I wasn't able to explain much, but hopefully some of these links can. (They have their own links for further reading.) I'll also drop a Welcome Page here, which has more links. I apologize if I came in a bit strong on my reversions. FutureFlowsLoveYou (talk) 18:13, 11 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Dsurah, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one of your contributions does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.

There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Questions page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. Below are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date.
