Presumably the script has been removed from my user because I use it so rarely. But it is extremely useful when I do use it. To avoid me having to keep rerequesting could I have it for a few years rather than 6 months? For now I wish to review Draft:Greenhouse_gas_emissions_by_Ghana but am too lazy to do so without the helper Chidgk1 (talk) 13:36, 13 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
  • I would normally just grant it indefinitely since you are an established user, but I am a bit concerned about this recent copyright notice - what happened there? Spicy (talk) 16:32, 14 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
For the record, you were added in January 2020 and only removed in January 2024. I am not thrilled with the attitude, and am also concerned about the copyright issues. I'll wait for a reply but just know that I am leaning towards declining. Primefac (talk) 16:54, 14 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Primefac Sorry for late reply - the article was approved by someone else so I only just noticed this after I had added a new request below. Re the copyright issue I copied a chunk from an IPCC report and paraphrased it but not enough. Because the IPCC summary reports are so condensed already I (and I think others) find them very hard to paraphrase. I think someone else on the Climate change project may have asked the IPCC why their reports are copyright. I need to try and find out if they got an answer as I suspect other editors will have the same kind of paraphrasing difficulty in future. Chidgk1 (talk) 17:36, 6 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
I want to review articles. (Note - I have served as participant of AFC for one year but because of some reason I left. See this) 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐭𝟕𝟐𝟖🧙‍♂️Let's Talk ! 05:22, 15 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

The backlog is terrible, and I would like to help. I have a great grip on MoS, GNG, and requirements for both BLP's and WP:OGCRIT.

As i've grown in my editing skills, I feel that I would make informed judgements without being unfairly heavy handed to either decline or accept submissions.

As a reviewer, I would try to submit genuine feedback to other editors, especially new users, to help them submit content that is appropriate for wikipedia and within guidelines.

I do feel i'm proficient enough to review submissions thoroughly for requirements in an efficient and timely manner.

I will treat each decline or acceptance as if I am responsible for the content reviewed, and will take full responsibility for all the decisions/judgements I make. Comintell (talk) 04:12, 3 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Not done, fails minimum requirements. Primefac (talk) 23:11, 7 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
I think I meet the requirements and having the reviewing tools will help reduce the number of articles awaiting review, especially those that are nonsense or doesn't qualify for an article. I might have broken the rules here, but I've already created a couple redirects using one of the tools using User:Eejit43/scripts/afcrc-helper at WP:AFCRD. I had requested for Articles for creation back in June of this year. I think I have made the minimum requirements for Articles for creation. I have been mostly active on Wikipedia and I am ready to contribute to Wikipedia via Articles for creation. KjjjKjjj (talk) 14:20, 4 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Not done, too many pages moved to the draft space and not enough experience in the deletion-related side of things (AFD etc). Primefac (talk) 23:23, 7 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
I am requesting access to the AfC helper script because I want to begin to focus my attention more on the volunteer aspect of Wikipedia, and would love to help at AfC. I meet criterion and have participated in some AfD conversations before. I have also helped with rescuing some sources from AfD process, and have learned how to decide notability of articles. Bluethricecreamman (talk) 22:58, 8 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
I've also used the Draftify process before and have been on the other side (though I also regularly just create articles directly these days too).
As disclosure, I have one article currently in review for Draftify process. Obviously won't review my own work, but would like to help others. Bluethricecreamman (talk) 23:01, 8 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

I familiarize myself with the Wikipedia:Notability as I'm trying to find a topics worthy of an article, Thus, I, in some way or another know what's does and does not belong on Wikipedia. I also have copyvio detector and WP:Twinkle installed to help with me on tagging articles for WP:CfD/WP:AfD/WP:PROD. Warm Regards, Miminity (talk) (contribs) 09:15, 11 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi! I'd like to apply to be an AFC reviewer. I've been editing Wikipedia on and off for years and I think I have a handle on what constitutes a good article. I also do quality assessment on WP:PINOY so I'd say I have a general sense of assessing quality. I've read the instructions and criteria for AFC. Thanks! Volunteer to review new articles, I’m an experienced editor and need the afc helper script rights because I know when an article meets WP:GNG and when it doesn’t, I want to assist especially for articles in Africa. Madeforall1 (talk) 14:17, 28 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
I am getting an "AFCH error: user not listed. AFCH could not be loaded because "Greghenderson2006" is not listed on Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/Participants. You can request access to the AfC helper script there."

I am writing article that a review failed because it was improperly sourced (AFCH) and need to run the script to see what failed. This is an important tool that will help me in reviewing my sandbox articles. Please approve!

Oppose @Greghenderson2006 The AFCH script does not highlight inappropriate references. It will serve no purpose for you. Additionally youi are blocked indefinitely from mainspace, and thus the tool is not of the slightest use to you. It is used to aid reviewers in automating the processes of review, but not the facts of the review. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 21:06, 31 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Comment: The prior request is still on the page above here. Spicy declined that application in June. I feel somewhat perplexed that this has been requested in a different manner by this editor. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 21:10, 31 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Good grief! Extraordinary Writ declined it earlier in July, too. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 21:13, 31 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Firm oppose for the reasons @Timtrent said and the prior declines. This is disruptive and not the path to have your block lessened @Greghenderson2006. Star Mississippi 01:00, 1 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for your input. I met no harm in requesting a helper script. It has been advertised as a Wikipedia gadget to help when reviewing articles for submission. The page WP:AFCH does not clearly say who can't use it. The reason I tried to install it a 2nd time was in reference to a recent draft article that was not accepted based on the AFCH results. Thus, it made sense to use the tool to see if it would helpful. I am sorry if it appeared to be "disruptive." Greg Henderson (talk) 01:20, 1 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Greghenderson2006 Please see Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/Helper script#What can I do using AFCH? which explains what it does. Nowhere does it say that it does what you thought it might do. "...need to run the script to see what failed" is patently not available.
We do not require notices at every point in our lives saying what can and cannot be done. This tool is of no use to you. I suggest you remove becoming an AFC reviewer from your wish list indefinitely. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 06:51, 1 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Oppose - [non-admin comment] This editor is partially blocked for poor sourcing including misrepresenting sources, close paraphrasing, UPE and other issues. They applied for ACHS on June 9 and again on July 2, now for the third time on Aug 1, which sees odd. I'd like to AGF, but it seems like it might be trying to game the system. Netherzone (talk) 02:01, 1 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Yes, lets Wikipedia:Assume good faith. That is always a better option that repeat someone's past mistakes. I am really a good person trying my best to create good articles! Greg Henderson (talk) 14:50, 1 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Greghenderson2006 We know you to be a decent person, Greg. I believe everyone tries their best to help you to put past errors behind you. The difficulty faced by other editors here happens when you ask for something three times in close succession that has been denied to you twice already, and when the denial is because the item you asked for was inappropriate in the first place. Please try very hard always to use the good judgement you exhibit for a very great deal of the time. I doubt than anyone opposes your rehabilitation. I know I do not. You cannot measure the high volume of good faith directed towards you, not the strong desire for you to succeed and put this recent past behind you. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 16:45, 1 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
I believe we are dealing with a major WP:CIR issue. S0091 (talk) 19:37, 1 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
  • Greghenderson2006, you do not seem to understand what this permission is for. It simply allows users to accept or decline drafts. It would not be of any use to you in improving your own draft articles - there is no part of the script that would allow you "to see what failed". Please do not request this permission again as you do not qualify for it and have no use for it.   Not done. Spicy (talk) 20:24, 1 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

I meet the minimum requirements and have 1000+ edits, and want to help reduce that huge backlog. I am a pending changes reviewer and have a history in anti-vandalism work, and want to expland my work into the new-pages section. I have participated in a few AFDs, but will participate in more. I have been editing articles in wikipedia for some years and came through several edits, uploads, reviews, deletions etc. So I would like to extend my support in woking on the AfC project. SRAppu 💬 08:33, 3 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Not done You have had almost 25% of your article creations deleted. While most of these are some of your "earlier" creations (i.e. 2020 and earlier), and I know that consensus has changed a lot even over the last four years (i.e. I am not basing this judgement only on that deletion rate), but the lack of participation at the related AFDs and CSDs makes me concerned. In other words I'm seeing some reasonable page creation but no indication of experience on the other side of the coin (i.e. deletion-related activity) to indicate you know what is good/bad when it comes to reviewing new content. Primefac (talk) 20:14, 4 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Re-applying as I spent more time in the AfD as you guys said, I want to help with the backlog, Note, for some reason my AfD stats are not updating and some of my "Draftiy" votes are not counting. (might be because I mispelt it haha) Also even after getting this, I'll still monitor AfD, it's quite fun analyzing AfDs. Warm Regards, Miminity (talk) (contribs) 00:40, 5 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hey! I was asking if I could be an AFC reviewer. Having this account in Wikipedia for almost three months, alongside some IP editing before that time, I believe that I should be experienced enough to have this right. If you're wondering, I'm really only requesting this to try to help alleviate the backlog. OhHaiMark (talk) 17:49, 5 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
I've been participating in AfD discussions (mostly around software) for a while now. I'd like to help clear out the 3-month backlog of draft articles. I have read the reviewing instructions and would like to invest my time in this endeavour. Aaron Liu (talk) 15:56, 6 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
