Muthamilselvi Narayanan is an Indian Sportsperson and Mountaineer (born 09th May,1989) 34 years old, a mother of two daughters is the First Tamil Woman to scale the world’s highest peak Mount Everest (2023) and as a First Tamil Woman to scale Five Summits, the Five highest continental peaks of the world within short duration between 11 months (2023~2024). On 23 May 2023, she became the First Tamil woman to have scaled the world's tallest peak, Mount Everest (29,032 ft.) and made a historical record; made proud to the Tamil Nadu state. She was awarded the prestigious state award Kalpana Chawla-2023 by the State Government of Tamil Nadu on 15th August 2023 Independence Day ceremony for her achievement to scale Mount Everest from Tamil Nadu state. She hails from johilpatti village, virudhunagar district of Tamil Nadu State.

Prior to this, she has successfully ascent the Mount Kangyatse II-nd Peak (5500 meter /18044 feet) Mount Expedition in Nepal (20,600 ft) on 16th April 2022; the Mount Lobuje (6090meter) on 19th April,2023. Along with these remarkable achievements, she has also done other Sports adventure world record achievements as given below;

  • On 07th march,2021, on the occasion of Women's Day, to create, encourage and create awareness among the people who fail, and against this society which blindfolds the abilities of women achievers, she has successfully done the first world record attempt (UNICO World Records) of descending from 155 feet high mountain “ Malaipattu ” near Sriperumbudur, Chennai in 58 seconds while blindfolded with a black cloth.
  • On 23rd December,2021, from the hilltop of Kulang village of Himachal Pradesh, She and her two daughters have successfully done second world record attempt (UNICO World Records) while Blind folded with a black cloth (trio blindfolded rappelled down). At that time, she has descended from the hilltop by carrying her 10 years old youngest daughter strapped in on her back. Her 13 years old elder daughter also successfully done the blindfolded rappelled down achievement along with her. The purpose of this achievement Muthamilselvi made it to create an awareness against the sexual violence over girls. In that the trio blindfolded rappelled down achievement, 165 feet in 55 seconds, setting the second record.
  • On 26th January,2022, on the occasion of Republic Day Event, seeing that the heroic Valor Woman Velu Nachiyar statue has rejected to participate in the Republic Day Parade, she has appeared and lived with “Veera Mangai” Velu Nachiyar avatar. With that appearance, she has successfully done third world record attempt, she shot 1389 arrows accurately and scored 87% by sitting on a horse for 3 hours at Mannivakkam Government High School near Vandalur, Chennai.

Mr Thirulogasundar, Trainer of Muthamilselvi has played the significant role on her blindfolded rappelling down and Mountaineering training, practices and mentorship.

Personal Life & Career:

Basically, she hails from Johilpatti village, Virudhunagar district, Tamil Nadu State, India. Currently she lives in Chennai. She has completed Japanese Language Proficiency Certification. With over her extensive knowledge in Japanese Language skills and her passionate on teaching, currently she works as Japanese Language Trainer. Also, by giving motivational speech in many events at schools, colleges, rotary clubs, she motivates school students, college students and public sector/private sector employees, housewives to encourage, identify their strength and create an identity.
