U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service biologist Sue Cameron pulls on the hood of the outer of her two Tyvek suits. To help ensure they don't transmit the disease, the biologists wear two Tyvek suits which will be carefully disposed of at the end of the day. Beneath the suits they wear old clothes that can be decontaminated or destroyed if necessary.
Note: This image was taken as biologists prepare to enter a retired mine in Haywood County. It was not taken in relation to the Avery County field work that resulted in the discovery of white-nose syndrome in North Carolina.
