"50% Off" is the second episode of the fifth season of the AMC television series Better Call Saul, the spinoff series of Breaking Bad. The episode aired on February 24, 2020 on AMC, in the United States.
Plot
Nacho is brought to Gus by Victor and Tyrus in the middle of the night. Nacho claims he had switched the drug product as requested, but Gus instead wants him to find a way to make Lalo trust him, threatening to kill Nacho's father otherwise. Meanwhile, Lalo confirms from Hector that Gus is protected by the cartel as long as he continues to bring in drug money.
At one of the Salamanca distribution houses, the drainpipe used to send drugs to the buyers gets blocked by an excessively large order placed by two ruffians that had taken up one of Jimmy's "50% off Saul Goodman" offers to spend extra cash on drugs. Lalo sends Domingo, who he has dubbed "Krazy-8" due to a bad poker hand, to deal with it. As Domingo fiddles with the drainpipe, the police arrive, curious to his actions, and as he demonstrates he is repairing the drainpipe, the stuck drug packets fall out. A police team prepare to raid the house while Lalo and Nacho watch, knowing a full shipment of drugs are still inside. Nacho makes a last-minute rush to recover the supply before the police burst in, impressing Lalo. The next day, Lalo offers Nacho breakfast as they talk about what to do with Domingo in jail.
Stacey calls Mike to ask for him to watch Kaylee for the day at the last minute. As Mike helps Kaylee build a treehouse, their talk turns to the subject of her father. Though Kaylee asks innocent questions of Mike's relationship with him, he becomes upset and yells at her, and she stays in her room until Stacey returns that night.
As Jimmy's businss grows, he suggests to Kim about possibly buying a house together. Kim is still apprehensive about Jimmy's intervention in trying to con her client and asks him not do to it again. Jimmy pushes on the prosecutors at the courthouse to try to turn over his cases as quickly as possible, and passes on a sincere offer for a lunch meeting from Howard. One lawyer pushes him off until their scheduled appointment the next week, so Jimmy discretly arranges to be stuck in an elevator with her with help of a client's brother to resolve most of the cases with her. As Jimmy leaves the courthouse, Nacho drives up and forces him into his car.
