The 2018 United Kingdom heat wave started at the start of June, and is still currently running at 4 July 2018. It caused much drying and browning of grass areas, and affected fropsn

During this heatwave, Britain was in the middle of a strong warm anticyclone inside a strong northward meander of the jet stream.

It helped to cause the 2018 United Kingdom wildfires.

It affected many crops, there is fear for the wheat and barley harvests.
