The 2023 MAMA Awards is an upcoming awards ceremony scheduled to be held on November 28 and 29, 2023 and organized by CJ ENM and through its music channel Mnet. The ceremony will be held at the Tokyo Dome in Japan, with "ONE I BORN" as the theme. The ceremony will be the 25th ceremony in the show's history and the second consecutive show to held in Japan and outside South Korea
Background
On September 21, 2023, CJ E&M announced the event would be held in Japan at the Tokyo Dome. It was also announced that the theme for this edition would be titled "One I Born" carrying the meaning of "'I' and 'MAMA', the only beings in the world with infinite possibilities, meeting and becoming a perfect 'One' through positive energy".[1].
On November 2, Mnet announced that Jeon So-mi and Park Bo-gum will be returning to host on Day 1 and Day 2, respectively, similar with last year's event.[2]
On November 8, a press conference was held at SJ Kunsthalle in Gangnam. Mnet announced the 3rd lineup of performing artists and collaboration stages which includes a MAMA Mega Stage performance from Day 1 host Jeon Somi, a MAMA Theme Stage performance from Lee Young-ji, the members of Zerobaseone, Le Sserafim, and Treasure, a MAMA Super Stage from (G)I-dle's Minnie, Le Sserafim's Huh Yunjin, Kep1er's Xiaoting, Bada Lee, and Monika, and a MAMA Wonder Stage from Yoshiki.[3]

Broadcast
The ceremony of the 2023 MAMA Awards will be broadcast live worldwide from Mnet in South Korea, to simulcast across CJ E&M channels (where available); other international networks, and online via Mnet K-pop, Mnet TV, M2, and KCON's YouTube account. The red carpet will be broadcast live 2 hours before the main ceremony.
