History

The airline was established in July 2001 by Nasir Khan and started operations in August 2001.

Services

Cargo Plus Aviation operates freight services to the following international scheduled destinations (at January 2005): Kano, Khartoum, Lagos, Mumbai, Nairobi, N'Djamena and Sharjah.

Crashes and incidents

On March 19, 2005, a Cargo Plus Aviation-owned Boeing 707-300 freighter on a wet-lease to Ethiopian Airlines crashed into Lake Victoria on approach to Runway 35 at Entebbe, Uganda on the lake's northern shore. The 31-year-old 707 freighter was on approach to Runway 35 during its second attempt to land. It had flown round in poor visibility from Runway 17 and changed to the reciprocal end seeking better visibility, but on approach its right wing clipped the outcrop and it began to break up. The accident happened in heavy rain. The aircraft broke up, but the crew of five survived.[1]
