Cedar Grove is a community in Markham, Ontario. It was settled and founded originally by Peter Reesor in 1832. By 1878 the hamlet had 4 mills, a post office and a tavern.[1]
Today the area is now under development. It is located near the northeast end of the town at 14th Avenue and Reesor Road. Much of the land is currently agricultural.
It is home to a famous outdoor hockey rink that was one of the largest in the province called Cedarena (built 1927). The rink is still in use.
Little Rouge River, a small waterway is part of the Rouge River system with water flowing from the Oak Ridges Moraine to the north of the community.
