Ange Didier Houon (26 January 1986 – 12 August 2019) also known as DJ Arafat, or Arafat Muana, a disc jockey in "Shangaï" on Princess Street (Rue Princesse, located in Yopougon, Ivory Coast), was an Ivorian DJ and singer[1] who made music of the Coupé-Décalé genre.

Life and Career

He was the son of Tina Glamour, also an artist, and the deceased musician Houon Pierre.[2] He was considered one of the most popular African artists in Francophone countries around the world. DJ Arafat is one of the first musician in Ivory Coast to obtain 1 million YouTube views in less than a day. He achieved this feat on his song, ‘Moto Moto'.

Death

On 12 August, 2019, Arafat died in a fatal motorcycle accident in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. His motorcycle was said to have collided with a car on Sunday, August 11, 2019. He was subsequently admitted to a clinic in Abidjan for a skull fracture before eventually passing away at around 8 am GMT on Monday, August 12, 2019.[3][4][5][6]

Prediction about his death

On 27 March 2018, The Prophetess and President of the NGO MINOGE, Bénie Marthe predicted his death. In the prediction, She said, "God asks Arafat Dj to work hard for the happiness of widows and orphans. He has to help these people because they need him". She also returned to the case between Beerus Sama and the family of young Marc Nai. She said, "In this conflict between Arafat Dj and the Nai family, the artist has the means to cope. Arafat Dj will get by. But the devil is shaking his tail. His enemies want to defeat him. And, if he is not careful, this case may lead to his death." She added, "Dj Arafat is a blessed child pursued by the devil."[7]
