Darwin Piñeyrúa (23 December 1945 – 11 February 1978) was a Uruguayan athlete. He competed in the men's hammer throw at the 1972 Summer Olympics.[1] He was the flag bearer for Uruguay in the opening ceremony.[2]

The main track and field venue in Uruguay, the Pista de Atletismo Darwin Piñeyrúa, is named in his honour.
