"Fresh Eyes"
Song

"Fresh Eyes" is a song from American musician Andy Grammer, serving as a single from his upcoming third studio album.[1] It was made available for digital download on July 29, 2016 through S-Curve Records.[2] Grammer co-wrote the song with Ross Golan and Ian Kirkpatrick.[3]

The song is a charity single with all proceeds going to the Union Rescue Mission in Los Angeles, a charity for homeless people.

Music video

A music video was filmed in September 2016 and launched on October 19, 2016. It documented homeless people filmed in Los Angeles. First homeless people on Skid Row, Los Angeles, California are shown displaying cardboard slogans like "More Than 100 Million People in the World Are Homeless". Another adds "Over 45,000 in Los Angeles" and finally "1,100 Seek Shelter Here Every Night". Then there is footage of the charity involved, Union Rescue Mission, the longest running shelter for homeless people in Los Angeles.

Andy Grammar visits the shelter to comfort some of the residents. The video then shows a number of those finding shelter getting a free fresh haircut and some new clothing to improve their lives and give them self-esteem with hosts of Los Angeles inhabitants encouraging them as they get out of the hairdressing salon.

At the end of the video, Grammar makes a plea for donations to the charity.

Live performances

Grammer performed "Fresh Eyes" on The Today Show on August 1, 2016.[4]
