Amatitan is a municipality of [Jalisco], Media:Mexico, it is near [Guadalajara], the second largest city in this country. Amatitan is a very special town in Mexico because “[Tequila]” was born there, but unfortunately a lot of people don’t know that. Actually, Amatitan is the location of one of the biggest and famous factories of distillers of Tequila in the world. This distiller is the one that makes the “[Tequila Herradura]” and “[Tequila Jimador]”. These tequilas brands are famous in the entire world and they are in this little town where the population is approximately 50,000. This big factory is called the one from “La Hacienda de San José del Refugio”. If you go to Guadalajara sometime, ask for the railroad to Amatitan, this railroad is going to take you to one of the most amazing journeys in your life. The next time you visit a Mexican restaurant ask the waiter to borrow a bottle of Tequila Herradura or Jimador and you will be able to see in the back label “Hecho en Amatitan, Jalisco, Mexico. [Hacienda de San Jose del Refugio]” and you will know what I’m talking about
