Arigidi Akoko

Tradition and setting
The paramount ruler of Arigidi is Zaki of Arigidi. The incumbent Zaki is Oba Yisa Olanipekun IV, who was selected in November 2009 following the death of the former king, Oba M.A Olanipekun III. The community is divided into three major section namely Agbaluku, Ijaja and Imo. Each section has quarters under them, and these quarters are ruled by High Chiefs.
Schools
Several primary schools owned by State government and private individual. Likewise secondary schools in the like of prestigious Akoko Anglican Grammar School, Greater Tomorrow International college, Okota High School among host of others. Agriculture and Industry Arigidi is known for farming. Farm product like cassava, yam, cocoyam vegetable are common in Arigidi. The major industry in the community is the perfect food industry, out of function for many years had be revive by the Ondo state administration led by Dr. Olusegun Mimiko.
People and culture
Arigidi is a community with the population of about six five thousand {according 2006 census}. The community comprises Christ followers, Anobi Mohammed followers and traditionalist.
Festival
Apart from the Christian festivals (like Christmas, Easter) and Islamic festivals (like Eid-Maulud, Eid Fitr, Eid Kabir), Arigidi had their traditional festivals which includes: The popular Agbogbo: Okota Festival: this an international festival sponsored by Odua People’s Congress under the leadership of Otunba Gani Adams – the son of the soil. Arigidi witness her largest population every year during this festival. <href> http://logbaby.com/events/okota-festival_9007.html#.VoIWv7YrLIU </href> New yam Festival: Arigidi just like any other town in Akoko, celebrate new yam festival on the 20th July of every year. This festival attracted indigene near and far, home and abroad Areso festival: This is the most powerful festival in Arigidi. It is celebrated in the interval of Ten years. The last one was in 2003 and 2014 respectively.
Political Composition
Arigidi has two out of the ten political wards in Akoko North West Local Government namely, Arigidi Iye ward 1 and Agbaluku Imo ward 2. Descendant
Arigidi had produced a number of eminent people who had impacted their world among them are: Prophet T.B Joshua, Otunba Gani Adams, Biodun Ilesanmi, Olakunle Obada, Engr. Mose Oloro, Prince Tunde Olanipekun among host of others.
