As of 2001 India census,Template:GR Bansi had a population of 35,628. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Bansi has an average literacy rate of 54%, lower than the national average of 59.5%; with 61% of the males and 39% of females literate. 18% of the population is under 6 years of age.
