Jessica Rothe (born Jessica Rothenberg; May 28, 1987) is an American actress. She may be best known for her lead role in the 2016 MTV television series Mary + Jane and her starring role in the 2017 horror-comedy film Happy Death Day.[3][4]
Early life
Rothe was born in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Susan and Steve Rothenberg.[5] Rothe's father is Jewish.[6][7][8] Her grandmother, Colleen Rothenberg was a theatre actress who belonged to the Congregation Shomrei Torah synagogue in Santa Rosa.[9] She took ballet classes when she was 8.[10] When she was little she attended summer theater camps in Kansas City.[11] Rothe graduated from Boston University in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts,[11] and during that time she learned to play the violin, tap dance and make pottery.
